He was called Sebastià Gelabert but they called him Sa Real. He was born into a poor family in the Manacor area and he had worked all his life in the country, but he had a gift with words and the ingenuity and wisdom of just a chosen few. They say he was one of those who are only born once every one hundred years. He could improvise sung verses and reply in verse to any matter whatsoever, however complicated it might be. People said he had supernatural powers. He knew where miraculous plants grew, he could guess the future and tame wild animals...
