According to legend...

Once upon a time in days of yore, there was a fellow from Son Servera known as En Voreta. He always boasted there was nothing he was afraid of. One afternoon, as he was walking under Son Lluc crag, he met an elderly chap who said: 

-You who are so brave, would you like to be rich until the end of your days?

En Voreta swiftly said yes, and so the elderly chap carefully explained what he should do. Following the old man’s instructions, the next day at midnight, En Voreta lay down below the crag with a slice of toast daubed in olive oil in each hand. Suddenly a terrifying huge snake appeared with an awful stink of sulphur, and it gobbled down the two slices of toast...
