According to legend...

King James the Conqueror’s troops had expelled almost all the Saracens from Majorca, although some still managed to hold out in the mountains.  These groups looked for hiding places and they always ended up reaching the coast where paths come to an end. One afternoon, they came across a little cove with a boat that seemed to be abandoned. They didn’t think twice. This was their salvation! They hastily climbed aboard in good cheer and raised the sails.....
