A place of legend!

The Hairy Soldier was said to be a young man who had run away from the army and hidden in a cave at Torrent del Pareis. He is described as being bearded and lanky, but he was agile and he could leap from one part of the torrent to another at the point between Romegueral cave and Es Degotís that is known as the Hairy Soldier’s Leap. This person seems really to have existed. He was a Swiss soldier who deserted from a regiment. He was informed on a couple of times and finally he was shot one day when he was stealing cherries. He had lived alone hidden at the torrent for goodness knows how long!
