A place of legend!

This is the tale of how the aldermen of Porreres got their legs mixed up and couldn’t tell which legs belonged to which person. They wanted to emulate  Palma’s aldermen and all dress alike for the church service of the town’s main festivity. However, they went in such identical fashion that their legs got mixed up and they didn’t dare get up from the church pew in case they tripped over. The altar boy came up with the solution, swiftly separating them by hitting them on the legs with a good length of rope. The townsfolk of Porreres still laugh about it!
