Almudaina Palace

Almudaina Palace is a castle of Moslem origins, and it was the wali’s residence prior to the island’s Christian conquest by King James 1st in 1229. From then on, it became the residence of the Majorcan monarchy. Today it is an item of national heritage. It stands on the site of the early Roman city of Palma.
