According to tradition, this shrine was built back in the age of Ramon Llull. Lull retreated to Cura in 1275 and it was there that his philosophical system was revealed to him.
Today the shrine has a garden, monastery, church, museum devoted to Ramon Llull, vantage points with panoramic views of Majorca's plain, and a lodging house.
