The sculpture Lighthouse by Josep Maria Sirvent forms part of a group of artworks purchased by Palma City Council when the 1999 World University Games were held.
Since 1990, the artist’s work combines big rusted iron sculptures, worked on in the open air, with pieces of stone inserted in them that contrast with their verticality and make a more static impact.
