A place of legend!

According to legend, one summer Sunday, peasants were threshing cereals and singing on Escorca threshing floor as mules turned the threshing machine. A priest and an altar-boy passed by on their way to give the Eucharist to a dying person. The threshers continued singing and swearing, with no respect whatsoever. In punishment, miraculously the threshing floor where they stood opened up like a big funnel, swallowing up the men, beasts, tools and grain. Each year, on the same day that these events occurred, the voices of those men are said to be heard singing and swearing so bitterly that the flesh crawls of those who hear them.
