Plaça de la Drassana (Boatyard Square) is one of the most pleasant squares in Palma. It is named after the boat-building and boat-repair activities that used to take place there. The square’s main feature is a statue of Jaume Ferrer, a 14th century Majorcan sailor who explored the African coast.
